An appreciative Kecleon.

As always, it looks much better in person… I love my dSLR, but it seriously picks up every little flaw!

Favorite baby pokemon! Real talk: All baby pokemon are kind of awful.
I’m sure nobody likes seeing messy ~artsy~ pictures of my workspace as much as I do, but whatever, this my is 100th post and I don’t even care. Here’s to 100 more, hopefully much quicker than the first!

Another day, another pokemon. Tagged with pokeddex because this is technically still from that challenge, even though it isn’t December anymore. I suppose Wingull is my favorite bird pokemon, huh.

I don’t know what it is with my camera, but I promise that like half of the paint imperfections you can see in the pictures aren’t visible to the naked eye.

First day of classes is tomorrow… Only ten more weeks to go, I guess.

Makin’ some pogeymons (and pikmin).

Barf, more schoolwork. This is a plaster cast of a tiny oil lamp for Moldmaking & Casting to learn how to make brush-on silicone molds. The silicone stuck to the glass, which made the cast have gross terrible flashing (and kind of ruined my lamp until I can get it off…).
Not that anyone’s wondering, but unless you had something big or really weirdly shaped, I’d just do a silicone block mold or a blanket mold. It used more extraneous silicone than a blanket mold, and was way more inconvenient than a block mold.

A candy munny I made for my Moldmaking & Casting final.

These are solid, but I think I’m going to make some hollow ones to give out as presents for the holidays.

Some resin casts of an Elizabeth charm for Moldmaking & Casting.

Normally I try to avoid doing weeb stuff for classes, but I brought in five other things that wouldn’t cast properly with the technique we were learning, so this was a last resort.

I wanted to have good casts so that I could paint them her P4G palettes, but it’s an impossible dream.

My tiny brandy snifter, cast in slip and wax, for Moldmaking & Casting.

The cup is pretty small, but so are my hands, so the scale is really weird looking…

Oh! Moldmaking! So exciting!
If you can guess what I’m making a cast of, I will paypal you $10, no joke.

A hipster Raffy, one of the first customs I made (the third, actually). I made a lot of mistakes with the paint job, and I go back and forth on wiping him blank and doing something different with him.

The glasses fit really awkwardly over the ears, so they’re awkwardly shoved under them to match up with his eyes better.
